Question: Do you ever perform "non-religious" CIVIL CEREMONIES...?
Answer: Yes. We realize that sometimes with a "mixed religion" marriage, or for family, or personal reasons, some couples choose to have a civil ceremony performed. We are happy to accomodate, and dont consider it a slight at all. Ministers in a Minute has been performing heart-felt ceremonies for over 14 years, and our civil ceremony has, and continues to be, very well received.
Question: Can Ministers in a Minute handle my wedding rehearsal?
Absolutely. Our talented staff is well-versed in wedding etiquette, and will be delighted to show you traditional ways to orchestrate your event, or can make suggestions for something "different" if you would prefer.
Whether we handle your rehearsal, or you tackle this tough job on your own, its important to plan ahead to avoid pitfalls. Question: Does Ministers in a Minute provide Premarital Counseling?
Answer: We certainly do We are excited about our "At-Home Marriage Preparation Course" Available to everyone whether using one of our ministers or not.
Headed by our Education Department Chairman, Dr. Sebastian Owens DD Our Marriage preparation course is a fun, and illuminating way for couples to learn even more about themselves and each other. Our course has been included in teachings in the Sociology Department, at The University of Memphis, and The Memphis Commercial Appeal calls it a MUST HAVE course for anyone considering an upcoming wedding. Upon booking your wedding ..., you will receive a letter introducing your wedding minister, and confirming your wedding date and time.
You will also receive a copy of the Ministers in a Minute Wedding Ceremony for your review. As always, if you choose to make any changes...or you choose to write your own ceremony ... We will be most happy to perform your wedding, according to your wishes, at no additional charge!
Your minister will arrive approximately 20 minutes before your scheduled wedding time, to fill out your marriage license, and help with any "last minute jitters" you may be feeling.
In addition, AFTER the ceremony, your minister will file all official forms, and documentation with the state for you. Its just our way of making sure your special day is everything you've always dreamed.
This is the option that will fit MOST very small, and casual weddings.
The Basics includes one of our professional wedding ministers performing our beautiful wedding ceremony at your choice of locations.
Optional customization of our wedding ceremony, according to your wishes. Optional inclusion of our "Family Ceremony" if we are blending a family with young children.
Filing of your marriage license with the state, on your behalf, after the ceremony.
BASICS FEE $150.00 (plus tax)
* Weddings with less than three days notice, Sunday weddings, downtown weddings, or weddings outside the Memphis, Bartlett, or Germantown areas begin at $250.00 plus tax.
This is the option that will fit MOST weddings that have a formal wedding party, especially weddings performed in a church or chapel.
The Works includes one of our professional wedding ministers performing our beautiful wedding ceremony at your choice of locations.
Optional customization of our wedding ceremony, according to your wishes. Optional inclusion of our "Family Ceremony" if we are blending a family with young children.
The performance of a wedding rehearsal prior to the event, by your minister, (or one of our staff coordinators.)
Filing of your marriage license with the state, on your behalf, after the ceremony.
WORKS FEE $250.00 (plus tax)
* Weddings with less than three days notice, Sunday weddings, downtown weddings, or weddings outside the Memphis, Bartlett, or Germantown areas begin at $350.00 plus tax.
The Chambers Marriage is strictly for couples not wanting any type of ceremony at all. It is a simple solemnization of your marriage license, and filing of same, after the event.
While The Chambers Marriage has been very well received by Memphis couples, The Chambers Marriage is offered in place of a Justice of the Peace. (There are no Justice of the Peace' in the Memphis area)
It is performed by appointment only, in our East Memphis residence; Monday thru Friday during normal business hours. Its perfect for couples who just wish to say "I DO" and become legally married.
The Chambers Marriage is normally done with just the bride and groom, but because this is NOT a wedding ceremony, you are limited to two witness'. For a more romantic touch, please consider The Basics package.

Question:Are you REAL ministers?
Answer:Yes... Our ministers have all answered the calling of GOD, and put in the hard work and efforts of seminary teaching in the conventional sense. We represent degrees from Baptist, Methodist, Church of Christ, and Catholic Universities and seminaries. We minister to the sick, the homeless, and work with, and counsel troubled teenagers. We do volunteer work within the community, and even present marriage wellness programs, to insure that your marriage stays as beautiful as your wedding.
Sadly, there are individuals actively performing weddings in Memphis...whose only claim to God's calling is through an internet diploma mill's "minister certificate". No religious training...no background check...just a few minutes in front of a computer...and "PRESTO"....You’re a minister!
