Question: Do I need a wedding rehearsal?
Answer: Ministers in a Minute performs weddings of every size. If you are planning an informal "Bride and Groom only" ceremony, then you probably don't need a rehearsal. If, on the other hand, you have a formal wedding party, are involving children in your wedding, or if you plan on "escorting Moms and Grandmothers", then its a very good idea to rehearse. In the thousands of weddings performed by our ministers, "skipping the rehearsal" has probably lead to more wedding disappointments than any other factor.
Our professional staff is well-versed in wedding etiquette, and will be delighted to show you traditional ways to orchestrate your event; or if you'd prefer, can make suggestions for something "different".
Whether we handle your rehearsal, or you tackle this tough job on your own, its important to plan ahead to avoid pitfalls. With thousands of successful Mid-South weddings, we can help show you things that, perhaps, haven’t even occurred to you.
Question: What forms of payment do you accept?
Answer: Ministers in a Minute takes all major credit (and debit) cards for all services except the "Option One... elopement special" which must be paid in cash (or certified funds) at the time of the service.
Contact us at (901) 754-4700 with your choice of credit cards, and we will be happy to arrange one of our ministers for your celebration.
Your credit card information is always secure at Ministers in a Minute
Question: Do you ever perform "non-religious" CIVIL CEREMONIES?
Answer:Yes. We realize that sometimes with a "mixed religion" marriage, or for family, or personal reasons, some couples choose to have a civil ceremony performed. We are happy to accomodate, and dont consider it a slight in the least.
"Michael and I absolutely loved having you perform our ceremony. My friends couldn't stop talking about how much they adored your personality, and how the Spirit of GOD just beams off of you.
You are a blessing to all around you. There was a strong presence of the Lord in our home and everyone felt it. We couldn't be more pleased and we will be calling again for vow renewals for sure! Thank you again for being such a joyful addition to our special day"
Leigh & Michael Fruitticher
Question: What happens if it rains at my wedding? Answer: The short answer is..."We all get wet".
Having it rain at your wedding is not a disaster. Many people believe that if it rains on your wedding day, its good luck. Most facilities offering outdoor weddings, usually have a "rain plan" as an emergency back-up. If you're planning a wedding in a park, or other typical "non-wedding" venues...you may wish to consult local weather forecasts, and be ready with umbrellas if they're needed.
Question:Does Ministers in a Minute provide Premarital Counseling?
Answer: We certainly do We're excited about our "At-Home Marriage Preparation Course" Available to everyone whether using one of our ministers or not... AND...our course will save you $60 on the cost of your marriage license!

Question:My name is Elizabeth, but I go by "Beth". Do I have to be called Elizabeth in my ceremony?
Answer:No Beth, we prefer to call you what you're comfortable with. When applying for your marriage license, you'll have to use your full name; however at your wedding, we can use whatever you like. within good taste, of course.
Wedding are stressfull enough, without using a name you only hear 'when your Mother is mad at you.' Ministers in a Minute is committed to making your wedding stress-free.
Planning a summertime, outdoor wedding...? Mid South temperatures climb to OVER 100 degrees in June, July and August. If you are planning on having elderly guests, they tend to "melt very quickly" in temperatures like these. *Make sure you keep information, like this, in mind when planning your special day.
Question:How soon do we need to book our wedding ceremony?
Answer:Don't let time slip away... We have a limited number of Ministers and many people choose popular days such as Fridays and Saturdays to get married. We must book weddings on a "first come-first serve basis" In order to insure your date and time, book early.
The average Bride arranges for her minister, weeks, if not months ahead of time.
Its not unheard of for couples to book a year in advance to make sure that their wedding includes one of our professionally trained ministers. Avoid the stress, and arrange for us to perform your ceremony today!

Question:Do we need a blood test in order to get a marriage license? and is there a waiting period?
Answer: Different states have different requirements, since we are in the middle of a three state area, lets take a look at your answer, based on each state:
Tennessee- No blood test, and no waiting period.
Mississippi- Yes, a blood test is required, and there is also a three day waiting period.
Answer: Unfortunately, from time to time unforeseen obstacles come our way. We will happily reschedule your wedding for no charge, provided we have 14 days notice prior to the scheduled event. Cancellation of your wedding ceremony will result in a $100.00 cancellation fee, and must be done in writing at least 72 hours prior to your ceremony, or there will be no refund issued.
If you are, indeed, cancelling your wedding... We urge you to pray about this difficult decision . We will be happy to arrange a minister to talk to you, one-on-one, to help you in any way we can. We also suggest taking advantage of our premarital-counseling program, to help you learn how to handle difficulties in a positive, constructive manner.
