Is your minister a REAL minister...or an Internet Pretender? CLICK HERE for more information
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Question: By now, everyone's heard the horror stories about couples who were married by "internet ministers" and then find out that their marriages are not legal... Does Ministers in a Minute useREAL ministers?
Answer:YES. Ministers in a Minute is the ONLY wedding service in Memphisthat uses only REAL "seminary trained" ministers to conduct this important step in your life.
Dont be fooled by names such as "The Universal Life Church"aka "The Monastery" "Universal Ministries" or the "Church of Spiritual Humanism"... all of whom are internet minister diploma mills cranking out diplomas to whomever applies. No religious training required. If you are looking for an authentic minister to orchestrate the most important day in your life, not someone trying to pull one over on you... there really is only ONE choice.
Over 14 years, and 7000+ beautiful ceremonies performed by genuine ordained ministers, dedicated to making your wedding a beautiful event to remember.
Question: My fiance says we should just go to the Justice of the Peace, or get a Judge to marry us....Why should we use a minister...?
Answer: I love this question... sure...you can also have a pimento and cheese sandwich for lunch at the Texaco, but why...? Do you really want the most important moment of your life started off by a civil servant? The sacrament of marriage is instituted by GOD.
If you arent interested in a wedding ceremony, and just want someone to solomnize your paperwork...perhaps our "chambers wedding" would be right for you!
*(as a side note...there are no Justice' of the Peace in Memphis)
Question:How soon do we need to book our wedding ceremony?
Answer:The sooner the better. We are available at a moments notice, however, weddings booked with less than 72 hours notice, or ceremonies performed on Sundays or holidays are available at a higher price. We have a limited number of Ministers and many people choose popular days such as Fridays and Saturdays to get married. We must book weddings on a "first come-first serve basis" In order to insure your date and time, book your wedding early. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Question:Do we need a wedding rehearsal?
Answer:Almost Always. The exception would be a quiet Bride and Groom ceremony, or a very informal wedding. Weddings are staged productions. It is essential all members of the bridal party are present, and attentive at the rehearsal. Over the years we have seen weddings disasters that could have been avoided with common sense preparation before hand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Question: Do you have any restrictions on my photographer using flash during our wedding?
Answer: NEVER. Ministers in a Minute is committed to your wedding being the perfect celebration that you have waited your whole life for. How sad if the priceless moments were lost forever, because of a silly rule that many ministers insist on. Our focus remains on you.
We always allow our brides and grooms to determine just how involved in the wedding ceremony you allow your photographer to be. That having been said, no wedding chapels that we are aware of, do...but some churches have a "no-flash policy", so its best to check with your wedding facility, just to be safe.
