Memphis is a great place to plan your ceremony. The location you pick is limited only by your imagination. That having been said... Here are some beautiful places that we have celebrated unions in the past.
East Memphis
The image of the bridge above, is a very popular one for Memphis residents. It is of a recent wedding done at Goldsmith's Botanical Gardens. There is a modest entrance fee to use this lovely garden, but I think you will agree its well worth it. Once there, you can choose from several gardens where there is always something in bloom year-round.
The images above are of The Crystal Shrine Grotto. A breathtaking shrine located in the heart of East Memphis, in the middle of a very exclusive cemetary. But dont let that throw you.... The Grotto has been the launching site of many celebrations, and site for some of the most romantic wedding photos captured in the mid-south.
When people ask for an outdoor recomendation for a quiet "Commitment Ceremony"... our first choice is always "The Grotto" The Grotto is available at no charge, and is a very well visited spot for tranquility and peace in a hectic paced world.
Bartlett (North East Suburb)
Bartlett Municipal Park This beautiful and tranquil setting located in the heart of Bartlett, has been the site of many of our outdoor ceremonies. Because it is a city park, it can be used for small ceremonies without charge. Very Pretty!
Collierville...(FAR East Memphis)
Located apprx. 30 miles from downtown Memphis, this quaint Turn of the Century train town is like a step into the past. This lovely gazebo is available for ceremonies, and makes great pictures as well. if you are planning a Christmas time trip to Memphis, the town of Collierville goes all out with Christmas decorations adding to the wonderful charm of this community.
There is no charge for a small informal ceremony; but its a good idea to check and make sure there are no planned events coinciding with your celebration date and time. Larger celebrations will need to be booked through the Collierville Town Hall. Contact Dorris Duke at (901) 853-3225 to make arrangements.

This includes ministers fee, and the use of this beautiful wedding chapel for a simple ceremony, ...or up to 15 guests. *This special rate is provided primarilly for out of towners who are traveling to Memphis, but is open to Memphians as well.
